GOOD MORNING, Tinora Middle School! These are your morning announcements!
For lunch today, we are having: Hot Chicken Sandwich, Fries, Cauliflower with Dip, and Pears. 2nd Option: Fish Sandwich.
We will be state testing again TOMORROW, so please pay close attention…Grade 6 will be taking the MATH Part 2 test only, grade 5 will take the SCIENCE Part 1 in the morning and SCIENCE Part 2 in the afternoon. Grade 8 will take both SCIENCE Parts 1 & 2 tests after announcements tomorrow morning. Please be sure that your parents are aware of this. It is very important that you do not have appointments on test days, because you cannot leave a test early or come into a test late.
Please get plenty of rest tonight, eat a healthy breakfast, and on test days, please come to school with your Chromebook fully charged and bring your charger too, just in case. Also, be sure to bring something to do when you are done with your test, like homework or your book to read. You will NOT be able to go to our locker until everyone is done with their test! AND, we ALL need to be turning our Chromebooks off and on properly each day, so that the test website can update on our Chromebooks correctly. You need to go to the testing room you were assigned first thing in the morning, and NOT to your regular first-period class.
Current 5th through 7th grade students who are interested in being on the student council for the 2025-2026 school year can pick up applications in Mrs. Runk's classroom or the office. They are due on May 2nd. You do not need to be a current student council member to join.
Current 8th-grade students need to vote for who will represent their high school freshman class on the student council. The Google Form is posted in your Google Classroom. Voting will close on Thursday, May 1st, at 3:10 pm.
FCA will meet for the last time this Thursday, May 1, during 6A in Mrs. Nofziger's classroom.
Any current 5th through 7th grade girls interested in attending the Tinora Lady Ram basketball camp OR the Lady Ram Volleyball camp this summer, forms are in the office. Please wait until lunch or a study hall to pick one up.
There will be a summer basketball meeting TODAY at 5:30 pm, in the high school gym lobby, for any boy going into 9th grade who is interested in playing basketball.
All 8th graders, please see your assigned High School Counselor to go over your schedule for next year. Students Last Name A-K will see Mrs. Rinkel. Students Last Name L-Z will see Mr. Siewert. This needs to be done before the end of the school year!
MINDSET Monday for APRIL is: "The time is now"! This week's mindset is titled "Act with Purpose" - When you decide to do something, think about the action you are about to take. Is this action taking me in a positive direction or a negative direction? Stay on the positive path and take steps towards reaching your goals!
Save the Date: Incoming students in grades 7 through 12 can get a FREE sports physical next Wednesday, May 7th, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the MS Gym. Mark it on your Agenda Calendar and give Mom and Dad a heads up that the school is offering a FREE physical!
If any current 8th-grade girls are interested in joining the high school girls' golf team in the fall, there are codes posted on flyers throughout the high school and middle school that you can scan to sign up. If you do not have service, you can use your laptop camera to scan the code, or you can email Coach Moore, and she will send you the direct Google Form sign-up page. If you do not currently participate in a fall sport, this is a great opportunity to join a high school team. You do not need any prior experience to join! The sign-up deadline is May 5th.
Attention current 8th graders: If you are looking for something to be involved in during high school and like to have some fun, Color Guard is looking for students to join our team for this upcoming football season. Any upcoming freshmen who are interested in trying Color Guard, please sign up in the office. We are having a small Color Guard camp after school in May for anyone who may be interested.
Have a Great Day! GO RAMS!
