Front Door Update:
The front door arrangement at Tinora Elementary has been changed. The doorbell that rings you into the school has now been moved into the door lobby area and placed on the door that allows you to enter the office. The set of outside doors that did have the doorbell will now be unlocked during the school day so that you can enter from the outside. The second set of doors will remain locked as well as the office door that has the doorbell. This change has been coordinated through a safety assessment audit with the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office and will also help align TES with the setup of Tinora High School/Middle School.
Sub Custodians: Tinora is looking for substitute custodians. If you are interested, please complete a Non-Teaching Application that can be found on our school website www.tinora.org. click on "Employment Opportunities". You can also contact the Central Office at 419-497-3461
School Meals: Parents, please make sure that your student has money on their lunch account. To check the balance on your lunch account you can do one of the following options. 1. Log into the K12 Payment Center https://www.k12paymentcenter.com/ 2. Call the Tinora Elementary School and talk to Jackie Hoschak, 419-497-1022. If you think that your student might qualify for free and reduced lunches, you can contact the appropriate school office for an application or find one on our website at www.tinora.org.

Attention Tinora Elementary & Tinora Middle School Parents: The annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest is scheduled for Sunday, January 15 at the Defiance K of C Hall. Registration begins at 12:00 PM with the competition scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM. There is no cost to enter and children must be between the ages of 9-14 as of January 1, 2023. There will be separate divisions for both boys and girls. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each age group and certificates will be given to all participants. THS students and parents: Class rings and class jewelry will be delivered on Wednesday, December 21st during lunch in the cafeteria hallway. You will need to pay your remaining balance due to pick up your order. Please pay online in advance or on delivery day with cash or money order.
Field House/Weight Room Community Hours: The last day it will be open is this Thursday, from 7-9 p.m. and will reopen Monday, January 2, 2023.
