Phones in the district are working again! Thanks for your patience!

Attention TMS students: Coming to a new building with all kinds of new things is stressful. We created some short video clips to help you with some of them. Please click the link, then click login with Google to join our Flipgrid "Tinora Virtual Open House 2020". You can read some helpful information and then scroll down to watch the video clips. You will find it helpful to watch these before you come to our Open House Thursday.

Class lists can now be viewed on the school website! Check out who your teacher is this year and who is in your classroom!!
Looking forward to seeing all of you soon!

Due to the continuance of COVID19, it has been decided to move the TMS 8th Grade Gun/Purse Raffle to an online event. Many area businesses have donated items that were to originally be auctioned off at the event. We will be changing our format slightly. All tickets will go into a drawing for ALL 50+ items including our guns and purses!! Once a name is drawn, it will be placed back into the bucket and could be drawn again! This drawing will be streamed on our Facebook Page on September 10th and winners will be posted on the Tinora Middle School website and Tinora Rams k-12 Facebook group after the drawing. If you win a prize, you may pick them up at the new Tinora Middle School office on September 14th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. If you are the winner of a gun, it must be picked up at County Line Firearms from Steve Flory. All proceeds from this event will go toward our 8th grade students traveling to Washington D.C. this spring.
There are still tickets available!! If you would like a ticket, please contact Brady Woolace at bwoolace@tinora.org. Tickets are $50 for a chance of winning 40+ different prizes, 4 guns AND 4 purses!! That is a chance to win 50+ different prizes for just $50!
We had hopes of continuing with this event as planned, but unfortunately circumstances do not allow it. If you purchased a ticket and no longer wish to be in the drawing, please contact Brady Woolace at bwoolace@tinora.org for a full refund.

We are looking forward to finally having our students back on campus. We have missed you! The attached documents outline the changes each building is making to help keep our students safe. Please review the building documents that pertain to you. #TinoraTogether

Tinora Open House will look different than in years past as we incorporate the COVID-19 precautions. We feel it is very important that you are able to come see your new building before the first day of school, but we all must practice good social distancing during this event. We ask that students bring no more than two adults and no younger siblings to the Open House. All attendees must wear a face covering. During our open house, you will have time to walk around the building, find your locker, and meet your teachers. We ask that you do not arrive early and exit the building at the end of your time to minimize the number of people in the building.

For your information:
Governor DeWine announced yesterday that the Ohio Department of Health will issue a health order requiring that K-12 children wear face coverings while at school. The new mandate comes after the Ohio Children's Hospital Association and American Academy of Pediatrics Ohio Chapter issued a joint letter yesterday recommending widespread use of masks in schools with the following exceptions:
Children under the age of 2 years old
Any child unable to remove the face covering without assistance
A child with a significant behavioral/psychological issue undergoing treatment that is exacerbated specifically by the use of a facial covering (e.g. severe anxiety or a tactile aversion)
A child living with severe autism or with extreme developmental delay who may become agitated or anxious wearing a mask
A child with a facial deformity that causes airway obstruction
"Without a vaccine, we are limited in the ways that we can protect the people of Ohio," said Governor DeWine. "For schools to have a fighting chance to stay open this fall, widespread face coverings for K-12 students will increase the odds that kids will go to school and stay in school."

Katie Sweinhagen is excited for a great year of 5th and 6th grade cheer. Practices will be held on Fridays after school until 5. The girls will cheer for at least one of the 5th and 6th grade games on Saturdays. The first practice will be September 11th. If you have a 5th or 6th grade student interested in cheering, please go to https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScKWmGHv80AlmgVURj5I68cD6p0jcHdoR0sBl32Q0Ii_xtTDw/viewform to sign up. Please email questions to Katie at catherine_sweinhagen@yahoo.com. Attached you will find the COVID restrictions for practice.
